There was once a time that everyone believed in the highly acknowledged myths of the gods and goddesses of Greece. The ancient Greeks were pious in their polytheistic beliefs, yet as time wore on, their belief waned into mere stories told for entertainment. The gods similarly faded from the world, almost ceasing to exist.

The immortals grew tired of the lack of attention and awareness from the mortals that they have so easily ignored since the beginning of time. Their warnings (unexplained weather, shakings of the earth, famines, wars, etc.) went unnoticed amongst the future generations whom were suddenly interested in the science of the world. As the prayers, festivities, and rituals began to dissipate, the gods realized that their previous hold over mortals began to loose its power. Instead of massacring them, a violent suggestion by Ares, who seethed over the sudden ungratefulness of humans, they decided to preserve their power by masking it behind humanity. One by one, they have started to become more involved with the lives of the mortals.

On the other hand, the gods have also been very much involved in the lives of each other. The stress of the situation with the mortals has caused the deities to act more intensely towards each other. Athena and Ares have been growing more and more disdain for each other as time wears on. It is to the point where some of the immortals fear that this will form a rift between the gods themselves, as each god favors either Athena or Ares. Zeus is aligned with Athena, his golden child. Meanwhile, Hera has sided with her son Ares and Poseidon is still bitter against Athena for losing Athens to her. Hera and Zeus have also been having it out, having more disagreements than peace in their marriage. Hera fears that he is at his affairs again and she grows more agitated.

Aphrodite has grown terribly bored with all the talk of war and politics, so she has been making her own fun by creating links of forbidden love between some of the immortals. Athena and Artemis, the sworn virgins of the gods, have been starting to act strangely afterwards from the unknown effects of Aphrodite and are currently trying to hide who they suddenly desire. Other goddesses have been feeling similarly, but have yet to come forward.

Zeus has also started to become suspicious of his brothers and fears that they may be planning something against his knowledge. Since then, Zeus has been keeping his sons Hermes, Apollo, and Dionysus close, as if ready to have a counter in case something does indeed happen.
What will be the ending in this ensuing chaos?

What part will you play in?
